“It makes all the difference in the world hiring the right lawyer. Some attorneys play on their client’s emotions, but Dave is an experienced, thorough litigator. He knows what’s important and he stays focused.” – a recent client

David L. Harrison leads clients through the very painful process of divorce. A strong advocate for children, he works to spare them the trauma and burden of legal involvement throughout this difficult, “adult” process. As a result, he helps both adults and children rise and move on from this stage in life.
David’s command in the courtroom was evident early on, when he received a full college scholarship for debate. In 1979, he earned his law degree from the University of Georgia. While there, he won top awards in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the Talmadge Moot Court Competition.
More recently, David has testified before the state legislature on family-related issues, was nationally published in a professional journal and earned a national award for his work.
Having practiced law in the Detroit area since 1990, David is a member of the Family Law Section of the State of Michigan Bar, the Oakland County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He does pro bono work through Lakeshore Legal Aid.
